A charity fought for the release of a circus bear.
Betty was an eight-year-old brown bear who had been trained to dance for the Russian public. She was well travelled, secured in her 3-metre cage.
After managing to get Betty released the charity team took her to the forest and opened her cage door.
Betty was enticed out into the vast wilderness of the Ural Mountains and spent her time pacing an area of ground measuring 3-meter by 3-metre.
And I can’t help thinking there’ a powerful message for us all in there somewhere?
